To mark the 70th anniversary of the Queen’s accession to the throne, the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) fired at 62-gun salute from the Tower of London at 1pm on Monday 7 February.

The salute was fired from Tower Wharf, facing the River Thames.

The HAC is the oldest regiment in the British Army.

There were 21 shots to mark the Royal occasion, a further 20 fired because it's a Royal Fortress and an additional 21 rounds fired for the City of London.
