A scandal occurred In Ukraine with the Belarusian flag, which fluttered in front of the Dnipro City Council along with the flags of other countries. The national flag of Belarus has been replaced with a white-red-white one, which is a symbol of opposition and protest.

The mayor of Dnipro, Filatov, explains that with the latest statements by Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko, that were unfriendly to Ukraine, it was decided to change the official flag of Belarus to white-red-white.

Such a gesture was perceived by Belarusian diplomats with deep disappointment, according to the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Ukraine. The flag, which Filatov calls a symbol of the national movement of Belarus with a hundred-year history, is called by the Belarusian diplomatic mission a symbol of collaborators and punishers of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.
