This is a dramatic moment a house was swept away by a flash flood in Indonesia.

The disaster happened following heavy rain in Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, Monday afternoon, February 14.

Officials said the torrential downpours caused the Brang Ode Alas River to overflow and burst its banks - submerging nearby villages.

The Sumbawa Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency said three houses were swept away.

'The houses that were swept away by the flood are in Kalimango Village and Marente Village,' said Rusdianto, an official at the Sumbawa Regional Disaster Management Agency.

Based on a report received by the Indonesian National Disaster Management Agency, this flash flood had a massive impact.

In addition to the three houses that were swept away, the flood also caused minor damage to 671 properties, 15 were heavily damaged, and three bridges were destroyed. The flood also caused landslides in several areas, and washed away five cows.

Floods also damaged clean water pipes and landslides on agricultural land and plantations with an area of ​​​​1,000 square meters.

'We are still trying to carry out post-disaster management. There were no casualties in this disaster,' said Rusdianto.
