Pancake Day, the way the UK celebrates Shrove Tuesday, is surely the ideal time to try this culinary mash-up.

In it, the classic ingredients of a British Sunday Roast -- roast beef, mashed potato and veggies -- are rolled up in a classic pancake, sliced, and then dipped in a horseradish-based sauce, just as you would with the beef in a British Sunday roast.

Shrove Tuesday is commonly known as Pancake Day in the UK because it was a day in which once-relatively indulgent food ingredients like eggs, flour, milk, honey and more, would be eaten up before the austere Christian festival of Lent.

A similar tradition of indulgence before Lent exists in many other historically Christian countries, though often in different forms, such as Mardi Gras or Carnival.
