DFDS re-launch freight ferry service between Calais and Sheerness in Kent, UK
DFDS have re-launched their freight ferry service between Calais, France and Sheerness, UK following a dispute involving French workers which halted the original ferry service.
New ferry Botnia Seaways undertook the first official sailing from Sheerness in Kent this morning (March 15).
The route is for unaccompanied freight (lorry trailers) only and provides a closer option to the M25 than the traditional port of Dover.
