A Russian-owned vessel moored in London's Canary Wharf for an superyacht awards ceremony was seized by authorities before it was due to sail at noon on Tuesday March 29th.

Whilst the name of the owner remains a mystery, the British government identified the superyacht as being Russian and it prompted an investigation by the National Crime Agency.

Transport Secretary Grant Shaps spoke at the yacht's waterside location saying: "Today we've detailed a £38 million superyacht and turned an icon of Russia's power and wealth into a clear and stark warning to Putin and his cronies."

Footage filmed on the 29th March shows crew arriving to maintain the 192-foot yacht, named Phi, after a mathematical concept and a staff member dodging questions from a CNN news team.
