A veiled woman hurled a petrol bomb at a CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) camp in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir on March 29.

The incident took place in Sopore town, located in the Baramulla district.

Visuals feature a road with a couple of pedestrians and two-wheelers passing by. A woman wearing a burqa enters the scene and stops in the middle of the street. Then, the suspect rummages in their bag, retrieves an object, and throws it. Later, she runs away from the spot immediately afterward.

As the incident unfolded, the terrified passers-by ran to safety while some CRPF officials brought buckets of water to douse the blaze caused by the petrol bomb.

According to IGP (Inspector General of Police) Kashmir Vijay Kumar, the area has been cordoned off, and the search for the woman is underway. While she has been identified, she is yet to be arrested.
