Wildlife photographer Ewan Wilson was walking as fast as he could to his car to escape the rain on March 30 when he spotted a carnivorous bird of prey also taking shelter.

The kestrel had hidden under a roof of a warehouse in Almeria, Spain to escape the rain and the photographer then captured the images.

"Watching this kestrel sheltering from the rain was a strangely relatable moment. I and this bird of prey at that moment wanted the same thing, dry shelter," Wilson said.

The kestrel had taken shelter under a roof of a wear house to escape the rain, the photographer then captures the images.

"We tend to see animals as things that can tough out the weather. We see wildlife as too tough for the rain, but in reality, they are very similar to us. If the rain gets too much they want the same things we do and that is to stay dry. Watching this kestrel sheltering from the rain was a strangely relatable moment. I and this bird of prey at that moment wanted the same thing, dry shelter."
