A chubby cat named Mammoth has become a star turn - giving customers massages at a cafe in Thailand.

The 18-month-old cat works at the Catalog Cafe in Chonburi province where visitors are allowed to play with nine other adorable fluffy staff.

Mammoth, who weighs 8kg, has become the star attraction at the eatery, with customers even making massage reservations with him by booking weeks in advance.

The experienced moggy masseur puts pressure on a customer's body using his paws as they lie on the ground covered in a pink blanket. Mammoth's kitty colleagues entertain the other customers but he has become known for his massage skills.

Cafe owner Piyanuch Suetrongprasert, 39, said: 'Visitors are charged based on the time they spend in the cafe playing with our pets.

'Everyone is free to spend their time sitting on the massage bed. Each massage session depends entirely on the masseuse’s mood.

'Mammoth is very good at what he does, he's the star of the show. The techniques are unique. A cat massage might tickle a bit at first but it's very relaxing.'

Catalog Cafe opens every day from 10 AM to 6 PM in Si Racha sub-district from Tuesday to Sunday. It costs 169 Baht (3.84 GBP) for an hour of cat fun.
