A cool video has emerged of a man testing out a miniature DIY air conditioning unit built from a soft drink can.

The small device is designed to fit on any desk space and could be the perfect solution for office workers during this week’s summer heatwave in the UK.

Writing online about his invention, the filmer said: “Got bored today so I put together some parts lying around to build a simple desk air conditioner. Surprisingly enough it does work and cold air does come out. This is built with an old drink can, a 9v battery and a 9v computer fan. The air is brought in through the top and cooled by ice and water before being sent out the vent holes on the side, Great for summer.”
