This bungling thief suffered from a dose of karma as he became stuck in a hole he originally drilled to gain access to a temple in Srikakulam, eastern India.

Footage from April 6 shows the robber named Papa Rao desperately trying to wriggle free from a hole in a temple wall.

Rao is heard asking for the filmer to set him free.

The police were later called and officers apprehended the thief.

A robber named Papa Rao faced the instant karma when he stuck into a wall hole , when he tried to flee after stealing silver ornaments from Jami Elamma temple in srikakulam in the state of Andhra Pradesh .
According to locals this hole was drilled by him only during night to enter the temple , but when after stealing he tried to ran away through the same hole , he got stuck into it , he was stuck there from night only , in morning when locals saw him than they got to know about all the happenings .
Locals called police and he was rescued and apprehended , according to kanchili police station senior inspector .
In the video the thief can be heard requesting peole to help him to get out of the hole
