A milk tea shop is requiring customers to do 60 seconds of exercise before buying a drink in northern China.

In the footage captured in Xi ‘an, Shaanxi province, several customers need to finish one minute of exercise in front of a mirror before they could buy themselves milk tea, according to the shop’s rule.

With that exercise rule, the shop aimed to alleviate the guilty feeling of customers when they drink milk tea which usually contains lots of sugar and fat.

It’s understood that the shop has many branches elsewhere, even abroad in London, and this model has been launched in Beijing, Wuhan, and other Chinese cities.

The video was filmed on April 10 and provided by local media with permission.
