Water scarcity in Umlazi, South Africa

Heavy rains and flooding battered the eastern coast of South Africa on Wednesday, killing at least 306 people, damaging roads and destroying homes. Umgeni Water said the rain over the past four days had caused substantial damage to some of the utility’s raw water abstraction and conveyance infrastructure in at least three regions.
The video shows a current situation in Umlazi, South Africa after days of no water and electricity. Residents are queuing up to get access to at least some water.
