One person was missing, and 10 others were rescued after a boat capsized in eastern India's Odisha on May 5. The incident took place in Chilika Lake, located in the Khordha district.

Visuals feature the rescuers arriving at the spot on a boat while the panic-stricken victims struggle to stay afloat on the surface of the water. Wearing life jackets, the passengers cling to the hope of being rescued before the rescuers' boat arrives.

According to reports, the incident unfolded when the boat carrying 11 people, including tourists, was returning from Kalijai temple. Moreover, the vessel capsized about 15 km (9.3 miles) from the nearest bank.

Among the passengers were eight tourists from the Balasore district, two boatmen, and a shopkeeper at Kalijai temple, who went missing. However, an operation to rescue the shopkeeper is underway, and the rescued persons were admitted to the Balugaon Hospital for medical attention.
