A motorcycle rolled out of its parking space when a powerful summer storm swept it away in Thailand.

The modified three-wheeler with a side trailer attached was inside the property during a thunderstorm when strong winds blew and dragged it out in Ratchaburi province on April 19.

Homeowner Pangrun Narisa said: 'I thought I was going to lose my only motorcycle. I'm glad that nothing else were damaged from the storm.'

The Thai Meteorological Department said the freak summer storms were caused by a moderately high-pressure system or a cold front from China which covered northern Thailand and the South China Sea last month.

Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines are reaching the start of their tropical monsoon rainy season, which last until late November.

Soaring temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius are often followed by powerful tropical storms with thunder, lightning, rain and flash floods which cause rivers to flow faster and become dangerous.
