Kind park-goers rescued an eagle tangled in a fishing line in Singapore.

Footage shows the visitors releasing the bird into a pond after they freed its body from the waste material in Seletar Reservoir on July 8.

Onlooker Alice Tan said: 'I was hiking when I saw the eagle trying to fly out of the water but kept failing so I went closer to look.

'Then I saw it was being tangled by a string of some sort. I asked around for help to release the bird. I hope people will dispose of trash such as fishing lines, old hooks and bait into litter bins properly.'
