Slow-mo video captures the most spectacular falls from Gloucestershire's traditional cheese rolling race on Sunday (June 5), captured at Coopers Hill in Brockworth.

Five races were held with a maximum of 25 participants who risked throwing themselves down the steep hill for a wheel of Double Gloucester cheese in this corner of southwest England.

Participants are warned by organisers that they risk themselves serious injury by taking part.

The famous catchers at the bottom of the hill, which is made up of burly men from Brockworth Rugby Club, catch participants as they come tumbling down the hill at speed.

Local legend Chris Anderson and Abby Lampe from North Carolina were among the event's winners.
