Dozens of 'sociable' hermit crabs meet and greet each other on a beach.

Timelapse footage shows the tiny colourful crustaceans crawling on the sand in Mu Ko Lanka National Park in Krabi province, Thailand on May 26.

The creatures would bump on each other ‘like they were having a party on the beach.'

A National Park wildlife spokesman said: ‘The hermit crabs have a nightlife, like having a party on the beach.

‘It's amazing to see them that close in nature.'
