A gecko was given CPR to bring it back to life after being crushed by a snake.

The lizard was found trapped in the hungry predator's grasp inside a villager's house in Udon Thani province, Thailand on May 26.

The homeowners called rescuers to save the hapless blue and orange tokay gecko and get rid of the snake from their property.

With gloved hands, the volunteer grabbed the 4ft-long snake that had climbed near the house's ceiling. He then took it to a field nearby before uncoiling it from the unresponsive gecko.

Upon being disentangled, the snake quickly fled into the tall grass and left its prey behind.

Footage shows how the rescuer tried to revive the seemingly dead lizard by conducting CPR with his finger. The gecko later disappeared among the blades of grass as it lived to see another day.
