Locals showed off their skills playing keep-uppy with a football-style shuttlecock in Cambodia.

Footage shows the men playing jianzi, which originates from China, on the riverside in Phnom Penh on Friday June 24.

They kicked the shuttlecock back and forth to each other, managing to keep it in the air with a mix of impressive back-heels and flicks.

Jianzi is a Chinese sport in which players keep the large weighed shuttlecock in the air using any part of their bodies other than their hands.

The activity is used as a form of exercise by locals in public areas and parks in Cambodia. The country has been a target of China's expansionist plans in recent years.
