Ominous storm cloud hovers over homes in Thailand
This is the moment an ominous storm cloud hovered over homes in Thailand.
Footage shows what appeared to be part of a shelf cloud darkening the skies over the Uthai district of Ayutthaya province on July 8.
Resident Kasemson Tonnok captured the spectacular but foreboding scene outside his house, saying: 'It looked beautiful and terrifying at the same time.'
Shelf clouds are a type of arcus lor low-lying cloud formation. They are typically associated with thunderstorms and form when cooler air lifts up warmer air, which then condenses due to lower temperatures.
