A building caught fire around 9pm on Sunday (July 10) in the central region of São Paulo, near Rua 25 de Março. This area is well known for its popular stores and for the people who leave their cities and travel for days to shop for all kinds of utensils, clothes and materials in general. The building was burning for 4 days, Firefighters managed to completely extinguish the flames only on Wednesday afternoon (July 13). The fire caused damage to the shopkeepers in its surroundings. The site is now isolated because the building will be demolished in the next few days.
