London Bridge Station pioneers pipe organ music on the UK tube
London Bridge Station has become the first tube station in the UK to install a pipe organ as a communal musical instrument on its concourse. The 19th century Henry Jones organ was officially opened to the public on 30 July 2022 and can be used by tube passengers as they travel via station. A pianist called Natasha is playing organ, helped by Pipe UP for PIPE ORGANS representative. The music carity is looking after pipe organs that would end up dismantled by church otherwise.
