Holidaymakers and commuters flying from Bristol Airport encounter lengthy queues before 4.30am as Ryanair staff in Spain are striking over pay and job security. Foreign Travel Advice have issued a warning to holidaymakers to expect disruption as the strike will affect flights to and from Spain and Spanish domestic flights. Unión Sindical Obrera (USO) and Sitcpla announced in July that Ryanair staff covering 10 airports will be striking from Monday to Thursday every week from August 8th until January 7th, 2023. Hundreds of flights have been delayed or cancelled at airports across the UK over the last few months as staff recruitment problems continue against booming demand for post-covid air travel.
