This heartbreaking footage shows Rohingya people desperately crying at Kutupalong Refugee Camp, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, today (August 25).

This date marks the fifth anniversary since the beginning of Myanmar's military campaign of ethnic cleansing against this ethnic group in Northwestern Arkan State, and is observed annually as "Genocide Remembrance Day"

The refugee community living inside Kutupalong camp held an emotional remembrance event calling on the international community to held Myanmar accountable for genocide.

Mohamed, who captured this video, is a Rohingya himself. He says: "Around 800,000 Rohingya fled across the border to Bangladesh to seek refugee in just a few weeks- including me. We joined other Rohingyas who were already in Bangladesh".

Mohamed also says: "August 25 is the day we lost everything we had. Thousands of our brothers and sisters were killed by the military. So many of our women and girls were raped. Our houses were burned down. We made a perilous journey to come to Bangladesh because we had no other choice".
