A cheeky goat and his friend ransacked a cop's patrol car and ate his paperwork in Alabama.

The free-ranging creature found the vehicle with the driver's side opened while the cop stepped out for a quick patrol in Madison County on August 29.

Upon entering, it found the paperwork by the dashboard and deemed it edible so the goat munched on it just as the cop discovered the trespassers in his car.

The goat's younger friend, on the other hand, appeared to have fun jumping up and down the car roof.

Deputy Casey Thrower could be heard saying in the video: ‘Get out of there! Are you kidding me? Get out! There's nothing to eat in there! Don't eat that, come on!'

The officer was reportedly delivering civil papers and returned to the patrol vehicle finding the two playful goats.

Deputy Thrower, who has been serving the county for 40 years is ‘considered of our G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) officers),' quipped the Madison County Sheriff's Office in a statement.

The statement said: ‘The animals clamored around inside the vehicle while munching on some paperwork.

‘Deputy Thrower explained that due to the number of homes he visits daily, on occasions he leaves his vehicle door open because he's had to retreat from being attacked by canines in the past.

‘Deputy Thrower has been serving the citizens of Madison County for about 40 years and is considered one of our G.O.A.T deputies.'

The goats eventually left the old cop and went back to the fields while the amused officer went on his way.
