A man has expressed his regret at undergoing surgical procedures to become a transgender woman - and now wants his penis back.

The trans woman, known by his online name Shape Shifter, 32, from Massachusetts, had vaginoplasty in 2015 but realized soon after that ‘it was the biggest mistake of my life'.

The certified public accountant claimed the bottom surgery left him with an extremely low sex drive, a useless one-inch vagina, and other health issues such as osteoporosis and scoliosis.

However, Shape's sex change surgery was irreversible and he is still required to take hormones despite detransitioning and now identifying as a man.

In an emotional video, Shape explained: 'This was the biggest mistake of my life. I've been taking time to reflect and I went into therapy.

‘I got to look back at my life in the last few years of my life and I realized it's been complete hell.

‘My life has just went down the hill ever since I had so-called bottom surgery trying to be a woman, and I regret it 100 per cent.'

The man, who some may also say is currently a trans woman, claimed that the transition cost him not only mentally and physically but also some of his relationships and even job opportunities.

He said: ‘I wish I could go back and not have any surgery. This transition has cost me so much of my health, both mental and physical, as well as certain relationships in my family.

'It cost me job opportunities it cost me a career that I could have had. I don't know if you guys know it, but I do have two master's degrees, and I'm a CPA, and honestly, this whole transition and my whole trying to be a woman completely derailed my life .'

He also claimed that the hormones he's been taking have messed up his sex drive.


He said: ‘I completely miss my sex drive, I miss my penis.'

Now, Shape still wears feminine clothes but said he rejects the idea of being a woman.

He said: ‘At the end of the day I enjoy presenting feminine but I reject the idea of being a woman at this point I never was a woman I just got brainwashed.'

Gender identity is currently a controversial social topic - centring around whether a man who has surgery should be classed as a woman and enjoy the same privileges as them, such as using women's bathrooms or competing in female sports events, and whether children.

There are also concerns about whether children are able to make such life-changing decisions as well as questions regarding the influence of pressure groups and the lucrative medical industry on the issue, with medicine and procedures often costing large sums of money.
