This is the moment a terrible toddler smashee his parents' flat-screen TV using a toy golf club while their backs were turned.

Video shows the two-year-old boy named Konpleum thwacking his putter against the fragile TV screen mounted on the wall in their home in Phang Nga province, southern Thailand, on August 19.

Shocked mother Mon Watsamon, who was in the yard gardening, went back inside to find the expensive appliance's LCD panel partially destroyed.

Mon and her husband Wasan Chandaeng said they have told their son to be more careful while playing in the house next time. The couple has also purchased a brand new smart TV after the incident.

Mon said: 'You can't take yours eyes off your children even for a second. Since Konpleum is very young, I did not give any punishment and spoke to him lightly.

'I hope this sets an example for other parents to be alert at all times. My TV was beyond repair so I had to buy a new one.'
