Thousands of freshmen students took part in a spectacular military parade in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province on September 17 shows more than 3,000 students from Huali College of Guangdong University of Technology forming a plane, a map of China, and the Great Wall on a playground during a rehearsal.

The performance was organised to celebrate the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party on October 16.

9月17日，广州华立学院上演了气势如虹，整齐划一的军训汇演彩排。通过方阵变化，呈现出倒计时、中国地图、中共党史、万里长城等图形，场面宏大震撼。

现场视频显示，学生组成了飞机阵型入场，随着方阵不停变幻，通过表演倒计时、1999，广州华立学院等字样，展示了学校的历史。接着组成了中国地图、“960万平方公里”“56个民族”“14亿”“万里长城”等中国元素。随后通过演绎出“1921”“井冈山”“古田”“1949”等中国共产党发展历程的关键词，“喜迎二十大”召开。
广州华立学院一名工作人员介绍说：“这是我们学校大一新生在学校操场彩排的视频。今年大一新生比较多，广州校区招了3000-4000人，其中参加彩排大概3000多人。他们从9月7日开始军训，大家想用一种全新的方式呈现军训效果，加上教官教得好，新生们也比较配合，所以就进行了这个尝试。”（视频由广东台提供）
