Russian riot police surrounded a woman in a wheelchair at an anti-war protest in Moscow on Saturday 24 September.

Their mass arrests at the apparently peaceful protest in the Chistyye Prudy area was the latest crackdown on dissent following President Putin's decision to mobilise 300,000 people for the war in Ukraine.

That decision has led to protests across Russia, flights out of the country selling out, and long lines of cars at border crossing points.
