Motorists were seen getting out of their vehicles to walk around, play badminton, and skateboard.

A woman was heard saying: "It is on Shenyang–Haikou Expressway. People are walking around and taking care of their children."

According to reports, the vehicles were stuck there for more than 12 hours.

The National Day holiday starts on October 1 and ends on October 7.
