Watch this duck's exuberant mating display as it wiggles it tail
Australian male Musk Ducks (Biziura lobata) have a bizarre mating display, splashing with their webbed feet and bending their tail over their back while uttering a high-pitched whistle that is audible over long distances. Only the male Musk Duck has the large, leathery lobe hanging below its bill. Musk Ducks are diving ducks, and feed mainly on crustaceans and other aquatic invertebrates, small fish, frogs and tadpoles as well as some plant material. This lone male Musk Duck was displaying in Bibra Lake, south of Perth in Western Australia. Wind noise and the calls of Rainbow Lorikeets can also be heard.
