Dozens of men join a 27-day-long operation to capture and kill a tiger that has spread panic in the village of Bagha, West Champaran, India.

The footage shows furious men with batons and armed officers walking and exploring the rural area in search of the animal at Harnatard and Chiutaha forest, on the fringe of the Valmiki Tiger Reserve.

The animal has killed nine people in less than a year and has given sleepless nights to villagers and officers. The most recent victim was a 12-year-old girl, who was dragged out of her bed by the tiger at night.

A massive hunting operation was launched after the National Tiger
Conservation Authority ( NTCA) gave the shoot-on-sight order.

Elusive man eater tiger took two other lives in last two days , taking number to 9 in nine months and 7 alone in last 2 months . The tiger had given sleepless night to villagers and forest department. There is a massive manhunt going on to nab this tiger from last 27 days . But now after 2 killing in last two days , villagers got furious and went on protest and rampage , after which National Tiger Conservation authority ( NTCA) had given shoot on sight for tiger .
More than 150 forest officials , wildlife rescuer , and many police officials are there on ground for the operation, villagers had also taken charge and out on field with batons and are gherowing the area .
The operation is going at Harnatard and Chiutaha forest range under the bagha sub division on the fringe of the Valmiki tiger reserve .
Sharpshooters of other states had been roped in to nab or kill the tiger.
In last nine months 11 villagers had been attacked in which nine died .
