Stunning rare conjunction of the moon and Jupiter spotted in East London

On Saturday evening, it was possible to enjoy this unique and stunning view of the moon hovering near to the "king of the planets," Jupiter.

The moon was situated just below and to the left of Jupiter, a distance measuring roughly 4 degrees.

However, because of an optical illusion, the moon actually appears twice as big as it actually is to our eyes.
