Vigilant cop saves man who slipped while boarding running train in southern India

An alert RPF cop saved a man after he slipped while trying to board a running train in southern India's Telangana.

The incident happened on platform number 1 at the Secunderabad Railway Station on October 15.

CCTV footage showed the man slipping while boarding the moving train. An alert cop, named ASI R Srinivas rushed towards him to save his life. He pulled the passenger away from the train.

Speaking to Newslions, Sr Divisional Security Commissioner Debashmita Chattopadhyay Banerjee, said that RPF Staff ASI R Srinivas was present at the spot when the incident took place and showed his alertness and saved the man who was identified as Prashant Dhate.

Dhate was from Nagpur and was trying to board the train to Delhi when the incident took place.

While he initially managed to control himself, he lost his footing while still managing to hold on to the bar of the general compartment. He was not hurt in the incident.
