An electric three-wheeler smashed into a house after a boy accidentally launched it in central China.

Video filmed in the city of Jingzhou in Hubei Province on October 18 shows a three-wheeler suddenly jolting forward after a boy climbed onto it.

The vehicle then smashed into a nearby house.

According to the boy's mother Ms Zhao, the boy's grandmother forgot to take the key out of the three-wheeler. The boy then accidentally launched the vehicle when holding the handlebar to climb onto it.

There was an elderly woman in the house when the three-wheeler smashed into it. The house door helped stop the vehicle and the elderly woman also held it.

The boy was not injured and the elderly woman only had scratches on her palm.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
