Excited trick-or-treaters fed zoo animals while dressed as spooky characters for a Halloween event in Thailand.

Footage shows the youngsters - dressed as ghosts, witches, and zombies - handing out food scraps for the animals in Khon Kaen zoo on October 27.

The treats were placed in creepy-looking carved pumpkins, watermelons, and coconut husks before being fed to the hungry creatures in their enclosures.

Zoo director Narongwit Chotchoi said he organised the event to spice up the Halloween celebration at the zoo this year.

He said: 'These little things help improve the quality of life of the zoo animals. They become healthier and happier.

'Additionally, travellers can enjoy taking pictures with our 'ghosts' who are ready to welcome them at the Khon Kaen Zoo.'
