Ukrainians and supporters in Australia celebrated the liberation of Kherson at their weekly rally outside Sydney Town Hall on Sunday 13 November.

To mark the occasion they ate watermelons. The city is so well known for the fruit that it is sometimes nicknamed The Land of the Watermelons, in Ukraine.

Before tucking in to the watermelons they waved flags and chanted slogans at their weekly demonstration.
