This is the bizarre moment a diligent courier delivered a parcel to a woman - while she was giving BIRTH.

The rider took the package to the home of Glycille Mae de la Cruz, 25, but neighbours told him she had already gone into labor and was at the hospital.

Determined to make the delivery, the youngster handed over the parcel while Glycille was doubled over in pain at the maternity clinic in Compostela town, Davao de Oro, on November 20.

Glycille's companions could not help but laugh as the worker even took a photo of the parcel next to the pregnant lady as proof of the completed delivery.

They received the parcel for Glycille while she gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Louise Nathaniel de la Cruz - with relatives giving him the nickname 'Parcel Baby'.

Mum Glycille said: 'I was so shocked because someone was looking for me while I was four hours into labor. The rider asked, 'Is there a Miss de la Cruz here?'

'He barged through the doors of the clinic and said 'Parcel delivery!' and I thought, 'Really? You went through the trouble of driving all the way here to the clinic?'

'The situation dawned on him but we all just laughed it off. I didn't care anymore at that point because I was in so much pain.'

Noreen Tiempo, Glycille's sister-in-law, aded: 'The rider came to our house and learned from our neighbour that we were at the maternity centre. When he arrived, he didn't expect that his customer was about to give birth.

'We kept on laughing at the time because the situation was so ridiculous.'

Noreen said the rider was apologetic for showing up at an inopportune time but added the family understood he was just doing his job, and praised his professionalism.

The package, which was expected to arrive on November 25, contained clothes for Glycille's baby boy, Louise Nathaniel de la Cruz, who has earned the moniker 'Parcel Baby' for the memorable incident.
