A heated debate ensued as a Chinese Communist Party supporter passed through a vigil held for the victims of a fire that killed 10 in China's Urumqi.

Footage captured on November 28 in Sydney shows a man arguing with others about his support for the CCP.

He is heard saying, "I am a communist," at one point.

There have been several protests in Shanghai against the CCP's lockdown measures and zero-COVID policy. Some believe such measures hampered residents' attempts to escape the burning building in Urumqi.
