Mysterious lights shining in the sky sparked alien fears among residents in China.

Footage shows the bizarre strange flickers appearing in the night sky behind the clouds over Jiangzhou province on November 27.

In the video, multiple luminous unidentified objects were seen flashing through the airspace confusing locals.

Resident Deng said he was out walking when he came across the unusual sight.

He said: ‘Dozens have banished and reappeared again. I don't know what they were.'

He added the lights were motionless and looming for nearly an hour before they disappeared.

Staff from the Suzhou Meteorological Observatory said that there was no abnormal weather on the night of November 27 and they did not know what the light spots were.
