A woman has revealed how she ended up at the locksmiths after padlocking her own ear.

Alyx Warren, from Los Angeles, California, left her 15,800 TikTok users (@alyxwarren) stunned after sharing the shocking story, where it has since racked up 872,000 views and 123,900 likes.

In the clip, the content creator who owns a small clothing and jewellery business on Etsy, shows herself sitting in Dave's locksmiths with the lock firmly stuck in her ear – having lost the key.

She then shows a clip of someone picking the lock and eventually setting her free – and they even did it free of charge.

"I went straight to the locksmith after discovering I couldn’t pick the lock myself," she told NeedToKnow.Online.

"The padlock in my ear was starting to cause irritation and pain.

"But I was trying not to panic as I knew I would get it off eventually."

This isn't the first time Alyx has had a run-in with a lock.

The 23-year-old has many body modifications and has been stretching her ears with the unusual item since she was just 17 years old.

The influencer, who runs Alyx Unchained on Etsy, said: "I love using them and I've never had any problems with the locks.

"Ever since I was a teenager I would use locks as earrings to help stretch my ear, I have many locks and keys."

Social media users have been left in stitches at the hilarious incident, with many praising the locksmith.

"Bet that was a first for dave," wrote one user. [sic]

Someone else said: "Dave goes home 'you’re not gonna believe this!'" [sic]

"This is such a badass problem to have," said another user.

"Dave is a helpful king," added one follower.

"Sometimes the most punk thing you can do is go to Dave's lock and key," someone else joked.

Another user said: "Dave is a solid guy."

Alyx added: "Most people laugh when I tell the story, sometimes they apologise for finding it funny but I assure them it’s ok cause I thought it was hilarious!

"Dave was amazing and didn't even charge me, just don’t put any locks in your ear unless you’re sure you have the key!"

She has since threw the padlock away and has decided she'll be a lot more cautious in the future.
