Officials rescued an injured swan running along a highway in northern China.

Video filmed in Yuncheng City in Shanxi Province on November 28 shows a swan with a bleeding wing running along the side of a highway.

Officials worked together to catch the swan and took it to be treated.

According to local reports, the police spotted the swan and contacted the employees at the forestry department to rescue it immediately.

After being checked, the swan might have been hit by a vehicle, causing its wing to break.

The forestry department staff will release the swan back to nature after it recovers.

A wounded white swan walking on a highway was rescued in Northern China.

Video filmed in the Yuncheng City of Shanxi Province in November shows the swan staggering with its bloody wing. According to the witness, blood stains existed on the ground at the scene.

After examination, it was likely to be hurt by a crash. Local forestry officers took the swan in and would send it back to nature after recovery.
