Three Argentina fans cycled 10,000km to get to the World Cup in Qatar - and are now looking for tickets for their quarter-final clash against the Netherlands on Friday (December 9).

The fans started off in Cape Town in South Africa, traversing 13 countries and three continents so that they could "watch [Lionel] Messi win the World Cup," one of them explains in an interview in Qatar filmed this week.

"It was an amazing experience," says one.

However, the fans came without tickets for any matches and were seen holding a sign making an appeal.

"We love Messi," one says. "When we were tired, we thought about Messi. He was the motivation."
