Alert police officer rescues female elderly passenger in central India

In a courageous incident, a female elderly passenger was rescued by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place in Ratlam Junction in Ujjain district on December 22.

The brave act of the RPF officer, Constable Manoj Akodia, was put on display when a female passenger named Sagar, age 65 years was seen falling out of a moving train on the platform. The female passenger had boarded the wrong train due to which she panicked and fainted. As soon as she fainted on the platform, the officer on-duty rushed to rescue her along with the help of a fellow passenger.

He lifted the woman and laid her on the bench on the platform and was given proper treatment for her to gain her consciousness. After gaining consciousness, the woman was informed that she sustained minor injury on her feet.

The woman was taken for treatment and the alertness and kindness of the officer has gained applause.
