Footage has emerged of a woman being subjected to an apparent tirade of abuse by another passenger on a London bus.

The video, captured in May but only recently upload online, shows an "African" woman having a heated exchange with a man on a bus travelling towards Streatham.

The incident took place on a 137 bus on the 25th May as it passed near Greenwich en-route to Streatham, according to the filmer.

The filmer wrote online that the argument started when the man became "frustrated" at the woman's "strong African accent".

The video then captures the man verbally attacking her, asking her "how many bank accounts do you receive benefits in?"
