This is the dramatic moment a quick-thinking tourist jumped into a pool to save a drowning boy in Thailand.

Heroic tourist Thanasorn Seeta did not hesitate to plunge into the water upon seeing the youngster flailing around helplessly at a resort in Nakhon Nayok province on January 3.

She and her family had visited the getaway for the New Year holidays, along with other tourists.

While the adults were busy preparing food, the boy was seen frolicking along the rim of the pool. He sat down to dip his feet, but lost his balance and tumbled over the edge.

Footage shows vigilant Thanasorn dashing to hoist the child out of the pool. Thanks to her quick reflexes, the boy was pulled up to safety within seconds.

Thanasorn said: 'His mother has two children. She was taking care of another kid while his father was occupied grilling pork.

'We were always checking on the children and keeping an eye on them.

'We were careful from the beginning because we thought this kind of incident could occur.

'I was able to jump into the pool quickly because I was alert and keeping watch from the start.'

The holidaymaker added that she hoped the incident would serve as a warning for parents to always keep an eye on their children.
