STORY: Zlatan Ibrahimovic told reporters in Sweden that he’s not surprised that the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo is being linked to the French club. “All the best players are linked with PSG when you think about the project that is on the go, and what they want to create – everyone will be linked to PSG,” the Sweden cpatian told a press conference.

Ibrahimovic was speaking ahead of a friendly against European rivals Real Madrid which takes place in Gothenburg on Saturday, and Ibra made no secret of his desire to win the Champions League with PSG after getting knocked out last season by his former club, FC Barcelona.

“It’s one of the trophies we’ve trained hard for and want to win,” he told reporters, adding that PSG were a better side than they were a year ago when he joined.

A valuable summer addition to the squad is Edison Cavani, and coach Laurent Blanc left the assembled media in no doubt that his preferred pairing up front would be Sweden captain Ibrahimovic and the 26-year-old Uruguayan, who joined PSG for a fee believed to be in the region of €64 million this summer.

“We will play with two attackers,” Blanc said, “because that is what you do when one of your attackers is Edison Cavani and the other is Zlatan Ibrahimovic.”

Real Madrid are due to arrive in Sweden at lunchtime tomorrow before leaving directly after the friendly, which kicks off in the Ullevi stadium at 2000 Central European Time.
