This couple had a close encounter with a black bear on their property before the animal heeded their warnings and left. 

51-year-old Martin Tellman was sitting at the campfire with his wife in Ansonia, Pennsylvania, when they spotted a young black bear heading towards them on the trail. 

Wanting to steer the mammal away, Martin admonished the bear to go back up the mountain and not to get too close to them. 

Luckily, the young bear heeded their warnings and began to retreat back down the path with no incident after the close encounter. 

Martin said: “A young black bear was coming down a trail on our property and my wife and I were sitting at a campfire. 

“I admonished the bear to go back up the mountain to avoid getting too close and he heeded my warning without incident.”
