Stunning orchids were displayed at a colourful flower festival in Thailand.

Footage shows families taking pictures and admiring the blooms that decorated a garden on the second day of Suwannaphum Orchids festival in Nakhon Pathom province on January 19.

Garden owner Suwan Hirunworawuttikul said he and 50 other farmers prepared more than 10,000 orchids for the visitors which are also available during the Chinese New Year.

Suwan said: ‘I would like to invite those who like orchids to visit the festival.

‘It will be one of the destinations for the holiday. The goal was to bring orchid operators together and showcase their products to improve Thai orchids.

‘Our orchid's export value reached more than 3 billion baht. It shows that foreigners like Thai orchids.'

The event is open for free to the public from January 18 to 25.
